Today we went to Zion National Park where there is a huge canyon made up of red cliffs. We went on a walking trail to see some 'weeping cliffs' where water spills out of the rocks which causes hanging gardens to form.. After this we went up another walking trail up into some small waterfalls. Right at the top we met a really nice couple about our age - she was french and he is from Parkgate! That was really weird as its only 6 miles from where we live in England. We chatted for a while and found out they were tralling too to the same places we were going - bizarre!
On the way back we went through a long tunnel which had to be opened only in our directional we were travelling to allow our motorhome to get through. we even had to drive in the middle of the road as the tunnel walls curved closely over our motorhome, rather scary.
We left here to head onto the Grand Canyon and played 20 questions on the way. We parked up in a veiwing area on the edge of the Grand Canyon, well think it is as its now pitch black and we are not going to explore now as its very cold and winding and we can't see anything. Not really the time to find a cliff edge with a 3000 ft drop don't you think.....
