I am currently sitting in an Internet place in the large Buenos Aires bus terminal, El Retiro. We have about 5 hours here before boarding a double-decker overnight bus to Montevideo, Uruguay. We will go west around the bay and then back east to the capital of Uruguay.

We had 4 great meetings in Chile in Rancagua, Santiago, San Felipe and Limache. (The kids think they could give the meeting as well as Jim now!) Especially at the first two there were people interested in working with the Emmaus courses. We now pray that they will get together to form a committee and organize the work.

On Friday and Sunday the weather was clear and beautiful and we had spectacular views of the snow covered Andes as we drove along between cities. Lots of pictures were snapped out car windows!

Father's Day morning while we were at meeting someone entered the David Jones' house and took their two lap tops (with much irreplaceable ministry information) and a digital camera. They live in a beautiful 100  year old colonial house built around a patio. The thieves knew what they were after and didn't check the rest of the rooms, so missed our documents, some cash and Samuel's computer and digital camera. We felt horribly for the Jones even while we silently praised God for our things being protected. Even as you pray for our safety, please do pray that our things will be kept safe as we travel.

Tomorrow in Montevideo Jim has a conference all day with Emmaus workers. If you read this tonight, please pray for him to sleep well on the bus and be refreshed for the conference tomorrow. The kids and I will go to our hotel and stay there until lunchtime when someone will come for us to take us to the conference. At least, that's what we are hoping to do! Flexible is the key word on this trip!
