We didn't actually stay in Tiberias, but I wanted the map pin to move to the Sea of Galilee. We spent today driving all the way around the Sea of Galilee stopping at the exit and entrance of the Jordan River, viewing the place where Jesus cast the demons out of the man and they went into the pigs and ran over a cliff into the sea, seeing where Jesus appeared to Peter after the resurrection, looking at the ruins of Capernaum and Chorazin, seeing the early mosaic of the loaves and fishes where a rock is commemorated as where Jesus set the food to bless it before multiplying it for the 5000, the Mt. of Beatitudes and climbing to Arbel a cliff overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the whole region--perhaps the lonely place where Jesus went to pray.

Tonight we had a wonderful dinner at the home of Palestinian Arabs. The food literally covered the table. I think she had 8 different dishes, tabouleth (sp?), meatballs, various arab pastries, corn, tuna, lamb in mushroom sauce, olive and lettuce salad, and probably others. It was all delicious. After they offered and offered the food until we were bursting, they brought out cashews, pistachios and other nuts and sesame crackers. Then came ice cream. They were going to serve us cake, but we were able to refuse. Finally we had tea. We felt like we were waddling home! But it was all delicious.

Hi!
So lovely to find a new update and photos on the computer after returning from church. I'm hoping you can do a power point or something at least for my 6th grade class when you get back, so many wonderful things to share. xoxo K
