Where I stayed
Yesterday morning, I started my entry to re-cap my adventures in Michigan and Chicago but hadn't finished or uploaded the pictures yet when this happened.
Needless, to say, I'm not in the mood right now and will re-cap later. I am stuck in Milwaukee for the time being; could be up to a week. I'll be spending most of the day dealing with the insurance company, the dealership, getting a rental car, canceling hotel reservations, and securing lodging here. I stayed in the Sheraton last night, because it was close to the dealership and they gave me a ride. All the rental car places had closed by the time my car got there.
I was stopped at a stop sign at the off-ramp of US-43 waiting for traffic to clear when a big Hinckly Springs truck rear-ended me. He wasn't watching in front of him and was looking off into the traffic and boom. I'm fine.
It took an hour and a half for the cop to show up and another hour for the tow truck after that. This whole thing started around 4 pm. And, since it wasn't a great neighborhood, the cop hung out with me and waited for the tow truck (see photo - cute huh!) According to him, I'm lucky I got hit by someone with insurance as insurance isn't required in Wisconsin - can you believe that!
I guess I have plenty of time to really see Milwaukee!

Noooooo!!!!
Poor Carroll. Poor car. I'm so glad you're okay! Did the cop get the irony that he was posing with a... you know... Pig?
Re: Noooooo!!!!
He probably did but would never say it! :-)
Milwaukee
Maybe you need a Jack in the box ball on the antenna so big trucks can see you better? Milwaukee has a pretty neat zoo.. or had a few years ago. Glad you and pig are ok. On the bright side, it was in Milwaukee, in Toronto they couldn't get parts for it.
