Yesterday we drove to Zion N.P. and stopped at Sunset Crater and Wupatki Pueblo on the way. It was a long drive but we caught Zion just in time to get the lay of the land and take some sunset pictures. Today we hiked the Narrows at Zion Canyon and we can barely move. 5.5 hours total hiking (yes - Brenda and Dennis - I did it!) We rented gear which was necessary as the air temp was 50 degrees and the water 38 degrees. A few helpful hints for future visitors.

Get breakfast at Zion lodge. They have a cold and a hot breakfast buffet - both very reasonable (you can also make a sausage sandwich or two for the hike : ). Take ibuprophen before you go hiking. And finally, while 2.5 hours up the canyon is okay - you have to come back - we were dying!

We are now in Tropic, UT outside of Bryce Canyon. We'll hit that park tomorrow.
