We left San Diego at 8:02 Sunday morning (2 minutes behind schedule). First stop, Julian where the American Legion was having their monthly Sunday Breakfast Buffet! Score! Then into the desert, past the Salton Sea and a quick stop in Glamis (Imperial Sand Dunes). The off-roading culture is intense and it sure looked like a lot of fun . . . once you got used to eating sand. From there we proceeded to AZ. After driving for 5 hours Coyote Flats in Aguila looked inviting. 2 Coronas, free homemade smoked salmon jalapeno dip, and the opportunity to immortalize ourselves we made the final leg into Prescott, AZ.
