Hello everyone...im sure eventually somone will be reading these! lol.

So we arrived safe and sound. It was quite the journey! Some weird things that happened that turned out PERFECT. So we start off at Toronto airport, and becuase we had a connection in LAX they told us at the regular checkin weigh counter that we have to do that all at U.S customs and sent us on our way to them. So we goto them, it was a breeze, but weird no baggage weighing nothing!? Strange I know. So I end up with a window seat which was nice!
We get to LAX 10:20 their time....1:20 our time, so were a little sleepy, we were told that we would have to re collect our bags and stuff then send them to taiwan during check-in. I went with my gut skiped baggage pickup and sure enough, they were transfered for us. (I think thats the whole point of U.S customs in Toronto.)
So we are asking the dude at the counter if there are any good seats left, he booked us for seat A and C with the thought that no one would want seat B being between 2 ppl :) He was correct, but No one also wanted A B C the next row back... yes thats right we both had entire rows to ourselves! it was GREAT!!
Taiwan customs was a joke.... Literally. They asked nothing.!
So were at they Taipei airport (north side of Taiwan Island...Our friends live on the southside..) Thus the journey begins. Takes a bit to find the bus keyosks..there were like 6 of them. No one of course speaks english, but we baught tickets to Taipei main rail station where we after about 30 minutes of hunting found the Highspeed Rail area! That was a treat. Picture a normal city bus or train... and us with like 4 bags each 3 on rollers 2 huge trekking backpacks and each with an addition backpack on our fronts... ahhahaha Steve got it the wrost, but a taiwanese man helped thank god.. :) Eddie met us at the airport and got us a cab to his place where his girlfriend Lindsay met us.
Their place is super cool one of the few with a balcony WITH a view. Most Taiwanese dont like the sun, so they close in their balconies for addition room/space.! They have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms a HUGE kitchen for taiwan normally taiwan kitchens are the size of ...say my laundry room.! The building is nice with securirty entry guy at the bottom!
So we went to a really neat sushi bar near their place for lunch. It was cool Ill post the pics to better explain... I really enjoyed it..my tummy not so much. :( lol.
For our late dinner Eddie biked to a vietnamese restaurant they like and got take out, we ate on their balcony with the nice wind and lit up city. There is a huge ferris wheel ontop a mall that lights up really cool looking!
So its the next morning.... Im up at 630 due to the time change and jet leg. I guess its a good habbit though! lol.
I will fill you in more as the days go by.!
Also eveyone download skype. Its a free program that allows us to call computer to computer and chat. Also i can add money to my account and call houselines from it !:) seen as i dont have a cell phone or land line here! :)
Talk to you soon
