After breakfast at Circle Bar B, I drove to the Mission in Santa Barbara.  There was also a lovely rose garden nearby.




I took pictures of the flowers, but my heart wasn't in it.  I was ready to go home. 


I devised a somewhat inconvenient way to get around having to drive through LA, going first up to Santa Clarita and then down to the 201.  It was a nice drive, through farmland, and I was only in LA traffic for about 20 minutes. 

I stopped briefly at the windmills in Palm Springs. 



Then, home to find that Michael had not only cleaned our entire house, but had put up the Christmas tree and already had presents wrapped and waiting for me.  Not sure how I got so lucky.
