Dustin surprised me with eggs and rice for breakfast!  It was a great treat, since we've been downing slimfast and croissants the past week.
We took the streetcar and walked around everywhere, exploring the city by foot.
We hit the Historical Confederate Museum.  It was really cool to see old uniforms, mess kits and memorabilia.  We learned about tincture pictures and the Native soldiers (Creole LA citizens that took arms and helped the South).  The ticket people were whispering, wondering why Elaine was there.  It was actually her idea to go.  She said, "history is history.  It's interesting to see the other perspective, especially from a museum in the deep south.  usually the loser's side gets lost and skewed in the history books.  People fought and died for what they believed in.  Some of those uniforms would only fit a 14 year old.

We wandered through the french quarter.  We hit the busy and the quite areas.. We of course hit bourbon street. Walked by alot of touristy shops surrounded by bars.
Later that night we went to frenchmen st and listened to some live jazz music.  We then drove to the Maple Leaf Bar in the northern part of NoLa to visit a neighborhood w/live music.
Overall today was the touristy portion of our visit. It was pretty cool. Pics to follow
