With our time in the ritzy south central LA hotel sadly coming to an end we said goodbye to Inglewood and headed to LAX to go home and work out how we were going to surprise everyone for Christmas.  Yes we had decided back in London to head home for Christmas and surprise everyone, then head back to America to continue our trip.  The flight back home was pretty uneventful, just the usual turbulence and great array of in-flight movies.

Arriving in Sydney we were ignored by the local Australian backpacker touts and made our way out to King's Cross to find a place to stay.  Even thought we've been here many times before we had to go and check out the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.  Catching the ferry across to Milson's Point we made our way to a little restaurant called The Lounge.  It was here two and a half years ago we saw a couple sitting at a table with a huge map of New Zealand, planning their holiday.  Sitting there having lunch we thought why not go and see the world?  It was funny being back in the place were the seed was sown, having a holiday from our holiday.

A definite highlight of Sydney was catching up with Lynn and Heath.  We'd met them what felt a lifetime ago back in Varanasi, India.  Guys thanks for a great home cooked meal.  It was fantastic!
