With not much planned to do in La Paz we just wandered around town, went into the Iglesia de San Francisco and walked to the San Pedro Prison. Overlooking the city was Illimani mountain, sitting at 6402 meters above sea level. One of the things we really wanted to do, just outside of La Paz, was a mountain bike ride down the "World's Most Dangerous Road". There are a lot of companies offering the ride, so we checked out one which had been recommended by some fellow Aussie's, El Solario. They seemed fine so we booked for the following day however when we got up at the crack of dawn and went to the office where we had been told to gather, we discovered they had cancelled the ride without even trying to call and let us know. We were not very impressed and let the lady know as much when she eventually showed up an hour later. Eventually we got our money back but annoyingly we now had a whole day wasted! At least it gave us the opportunity to walk through the Witches Market and do some shopping.
