Where I stayed
Though an interesting thing did occur while we were lost, trying to get out of Glasgow. It's said everyone has an identical twin somewhere in the world and today we found Megan's cousin, Hayley, on the streets of Glasgow. Driving around trying to find our way out of the city, through all the one way streets that kept taking us the wrong way, we pulled up at a set of lights
On the way towards Fort William we stopped for a break at Loch Lomond which is a massive expanse of water, dotted with hundreds of little islands. Although the water was freezing and the air temperature about 20 degrees Celsius, people were dressed in their summer best and braving frostbite for a swim. Brave or crazy we really weren't sure and decided to pass on the option of a swim.
In the early afternoon we made it to Fort William and splurged on rooms at the Clan McDuff Hotel for the night. Glenys and David were lucky, enjoying a fantastic view over the Loch from their balcony. As the sun set we tucked into our fish and chips for dinner.
