After a moderately comfortable (but cold) ride to Udaipur on the sleeper bus we arrived early for a change and almost didn't get off the bus. Luckily the conductor knew where we were going and told us we had arrived.

We jumped in a rickshaw to our hotel the Mewar Inn which had just opened for the morning. We got a room and had a few more hours sleep. After a very late brunch we headed back to the bus station to book our onwards bus to Mumbai (luckily we got the last seats) then made our way to the City Palace area. The City Palace and the Lake Palace is where the James Bond film Octopussy was made and all the restaurants have nightly screenings of the movie with dinner.

After wandering around and exploring, whilst relishing in not getting hassled for a change, we headed to the sunset restaurant and took in some great sunset views of the Lake Palace. We decided our last proper meal in India should be memorable so we headed to the ritziest hotel in the complex to have one last extravagant Indian meal, seven courses in all, and it was definitely worth every cent. Some of the dishes were, Tilli Subz Seekh, Bhatti ke Aloo, Rajma Makhana Kebab and Dal Makhani.

We could have spent more time in Udaipur but had to make our way down to Mumbai to catch our flight.
