Leaving promptly from Galway before our car could be towed we hit the road and finally ventured off Ireland's main motorways. Ireland actually has some excellent toll roads that branch out from Dublin. Getting from one end of the country to the other in a matter of hours is very douable but also very boring. The back roads are worth the extra time and diesel for sure.

The drive to the cliffs was most fun I have ever had in a car without breaking the law (much). The views are stunning, and the road  is tight, twisty and passes through rolling hills and in other parts along the edge of the coast line. We stopped along the way several times, to look at castles, take photos, and because we got lost fairly frequently.. (thanks for the navigation girls).

The cliffs of Moher were the icing on the cake. It's hard to describe such things in a blog so check out the photos instead!

We arrived at the end of the day in Kilkenny and had our last evening with Sarah at a really cool pub where the locals sang along to more folk songs, Sarah's off to Scotland tomorrow then back to Australia.

Kilkenny as a place is fairly nice and quite laid back, the big castle in the center of town which is it's biggest draw-card. We stayed at a small little hostel with a well travelled owner. Really nice guy but could understand a word he was saying.
