After a emotional sendoff. I rode in the van to Tampa to fly out to Atlanta. We got to Tampa at 12:30 and my flight did not leave until 4:20. then I got to Atlanta at 5;30 and my next flight left at 9:30. I must admit I kept thinking about the wonderful LifeSouth people that constantly gave me encouragement and smiles at Cedar Key. I was extremely emotional on the ride home because this ride was about so much more than talking to people along the route and riding bikes. I felt so overwhelmed with the much needed warmth and sincerity I recieved from so many people that are as passionate about donations as I am about Transfusion medicine. I was able to enjoy every day because the support team and sponsors believed in me and touched my life very deeply. thanks to all for all their support and kindnesses along the way. I hope I can take these examples of warmth and this incredible experience with me as I work in the hospital.
thank you LIfeSouth for your vision of a bike trip impacting the people across America.
