If you are looking for excitement here today, you are at the wrong place! Today was a transition day for us (just like ocean liners) as we took some time to regroup, restock, and get my nails done. As you can see, my priorities are all in the right place!

As we were preparing to leave camp this morning a thunderstorm rumbled through the area. I was afraid that John was going to have to unhook us from our tethered electric cord and get wet (I don't do wet…if you remember oldcat, I AM arm candy!) but the rain had stopped by the time we were ready to go, so no one had to get wet!

We pulled out of camp at 9:00 heading to Mickey D’s for breakfast. It was a cool 66 degrees. At our stop for breakfast we also took on fuel. Judy, it was $3:59/gallon.

We enjoyed our breakfast and were back on I-69 at 10:00 heading to a Jiffy Lube and then on to Walmart. We could not have been more pleased with the folks that changed Muf’s oil. They were part of a local Buick dealership that has set up quick lube bays on property to help his customers. They were very polite and very efficient…and very reasonable—(we got a senior discount!!).

From Jiffy Lube, we went to Walmart (told you this wasn’t an exciting day!) where we picked up a couple of items and I got my nails done. There was a Miejer store close to us, and since we knew that our friends in Lexington really like them, we stopped in to see what it was all about. It is HUGE and seemed to have just about anything you might want. We picked up one or two items and then went to the parking lot where we had lunch in Mufasa.

This was a very short day for us as we pulled out of Meijer at 2:45 and into Holiday Shores RV Resort at 3:15. This is a very nice place. It is mostly set up as seasonal with most of the concrete pads set up with park models (ring a bell ORAers?), and I was pleased to be on concrete for the night. The power is good, the area is very nice (several lakes and a nine hole golf course on property) and quite large—over 500 sites here. Lotof old farts running around on golf carts...go figure!  We will get out and walk later. In the meantime we are going to kick back, prop our feet up and enjoy the rest of the day.

We drove 68 miles today.

Daniel finds it ironic that he has been up for an hour, and you all are winding down for the evening. :-)

Hawkeye88---there are SO many things that could be said to that comment. I will refrain however since the big D is such a precious child.

Yes Dahlink, I am well aware that you are an exquisite display of arm candy and that you certainly do not want to be out in the rain and getting wet, no, no, that would not do at all. And I am also so delighted to know you are keeping your little digits looking good.
