We had to get up early today (5am) to catch our flight to Sharm El Sheikh.  It was so foggy by our hotel it was almost impossible for the driver to see the road and everyone was driving with their hazard lights on.  We got to our hotel, the Hotel Tropicana Rosetta and were surprised to find out that it was an "all inclusive" resort.  They gave us little green wristbands so we don't have to pay for any food or drinks (that includes beer) while we are at the hotel.  We tested this out and sure enough, beers and foods no charge and no tips.  Whoa!  We even have a swim up bar at the pool by our room.  I think there are about four different pools here.  After testing out our free drink wristbands it was time to wander the streets and see what was around.  We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.  This is actually the first time I've ever been to a Hard Rock.  It was interesting but even there we could only get the local beer or Heineken.  I swear Heineken has made a deal with all of Egypt to keep any other beers out.  After wandering around we came back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.  I think Sharm is like a blend of Hawaii and Las Vegas.  This is where the wealthy Egyptians, and LOTS of Russians, come to vacation.  This is nothing like the rest of Egypt, it's a strange culture shock at first.  Definitely a fun, resort type atmosphere.
