I couldn�t figure out why there were so many jacked guys in Quepos. But then I saw it - a gym! Being one of about three gyms in all of Central America it appears that the gym rats have flocked to Quepos, like skiiers to Whistler. It�s the perfect gym rat environment: a town with nothing to do, a nearby beach, hot enough to get away with not wearing a shirt all day, and of course, a gym. They�re thriving down here.
