We'd like to end with a poem that sums up our trip, written by my gorgeous husband Jerry (yes George he did finally keep the promise he made at your wedding) and our top 5's in various categories.
TRAVELS AND TRAVAILS
Gasp! Free at last
After months of patient wait
Escape! Forget the past
Forward to the turn of fate
Heat! Raging Indian sun
Intensity of all the senses
Yes! The journey has begun
To fantastic faraway places
Insh'Allah! Indus raging river
Majestic mountains, snowy peaks
Help! Paths that make you shiver
Amidst glaciers, hear those creaks
Hawk! No manners has Chinese man
Many people always shouting
Yum! Strange tastes from frying pan
Best food there is no doubting
Tashi Delek! Land on top of the world
Though not free, spirit never broken
Wow! Potala palace, buddhas made of gold
Not a word can Dalai Lama be spoken
Namaste! Beautiful mountain kingdom
Unique culture, hidden from the world
Birthday! Dressed in gho, what fun
Life begins at 40 so we're told
Kiaora! Perfect trekking tramps
Stunning views all over Maori Lands
Campervan! Take us far away from the camps
Volcanic mountains down to hidden coastal sands
Asia! Back again for one last month
Chilled Laos and beautiful Angkor Wat
Slow down! Time too fast it runneth
Soon home as if I had forgot
Thank you! To Boo the one I love
For sharing everything, though I may be a bore
Forever! Thanks to god above
