The Road to Mvuu - now late afternoon, we left the Kafue River behind and began down the road to Mvuu - watch out for cattle, animals and bicycles.
The dust was just incredible, reducing visibility on the road and for the vehicles to about 2m, made no easier by the late afternoon sun rays across the road.
The Magnificent Zambezi flows down the right, heading East - can be seen in the day
We pitched camp in the dark - now becoming a familiar occurrence - and sat down to a well deserved 'G&T', followed by a good bottle of wine.
The weather is temperate - pleasant evening temperatures. Our campsite is right on the Zambezi River, we can hear the sound of the River, but without a moon, can see little or nothing of what moves in front of us tonight !!
The Mvuu Lodge is well signposted at the gate. A gentleman was waiting to show us to the campsite - must have heard us coming for miles....
The campsite had been lit with lanterns and fresh water put out.
This is home for the next 5 days.
