We just can't take the bussess much longer....it's too much hard work in this heat. It's only 160Km from Ella to Mirissa....it took ALL day, 3 busses, standing for 4 hours, 30+ degree heat and an hours interval at a dusty bus station where we trired to find a bus going in the right direction that had enough space to get in the door!

But we made it, and are finally at the beach. Mirissa is a beautiful beach with a small village and not much else, no highrise hotels, no fancy restaurants, no bank, etc....just lots of yellow sand, turquoise water and Bob Marley.

Our Guest House is about 10 mins walk back from the beach, in the jungle, so you get the best of both worlds, beautiful birds flying around the garden and HUGE montior lizards everywhere.
