Thurs. nite went for a drive along the south shore. Had dinner at Harbour View Rest. in Parraboro.
Fri. Breakfast at Double C across from campground. Drove to north coast beaches. Stopped at Heather Beach and picked up some rocks. Went to Pugwash and looked around the town a little. Went on to Pictou where the first Scots landed in NS. toured the ship Hector, a replica of the ship the Scots sailed on. Also toured the museum. Very interesting history and artifacts. Had dinner at the Salt Water Cafe.
Sunday. Drove to Halifax--about 1 hour and 15 minutes to attend the Christian Science church there. It has been in existence since 1905.
Walked on the boardwalk at the waterfront. Had lunch at Murphy's. Toured a US Coast Guard Barque, the Eagle that was in port. It is 295 ft. long. Really neat! It is part of the USCG academy sailing school for cadets. The cadets had boarded the ship in Iceland and would be getting to take leave when they arrived in Boston.
Drove a little around the coves southwest of Halifax. Bought chowder to take home at MassMarket.
