Hey to everybody reading, thank you for your kind messages and for keeping track of my adventures!

To catch up i'm gonna have to just ramble and cram everything in!

I think i'm pretty much settled in now and sharing the room aint too bad Andreas is a chef so he's up at 8ish every morning and is being really quiet which is cool, he doesnt snore and hopefully he hasent noticed my trumps in the night ! lol I'm gonna try get up at a similar time and get out on the mountain as the lifts open at 9 so I can get nearly 6 hours of boarding A DAY! A DAY! boom you wouldn't believe how cool that is!

Went out on the mountain yesterday for the first time before my first shift which we'll get to, and it was awesome, aw-saaaa-me! waited 10 mins to get a boarding pass as it was a sat and for obvious reasons san and sun are busy, people coming for the weekend etc...! but once I was on the lift everything get cleared for the mind and just set my sights on the runs! I was trying out my new board for the first time which is totally different to my other board so that was exciting, Its a lot smaller and more flex and cambered different to "normal boards" kind of supposed to allow you to do more Jib tricks, spins and other stuff! So soon as I got off the lift I tightened up my boots and right there just at that moment of excitement as I was wrenching on my right boot....
%^)&*  SNAP  )(*&^&(  my lace broke I was ragging it but that is one of the worst nightmares that can happen to a boarder, depending on how you ride loose boots are a killer it affects your balance, how you turn, comfort and stability (you woulnd't belive howw many times i have to use spell check with these posts)

So I was like gad dame, unbelievable not even done a run and can't comfortably! anyhow with my mastery of skills I tied one of the snapped ends to another section of the boots and it was ok strapped in and off I went, Instantly the board felt great turning was real easy smooth and pretty effortless. Did my first run and me being me was pushing the limits of the board trying to carve and jib, spin, butter (ask a boarder bout those terms) and yea all was feeling great, One thing that did happen and I'm not sure if this is because the board it just a little bit too small for me as I was turning on my toe edge quite hard the back end slid out and i was ploughing my face into the relatively hard piste, but I guess I now know the limit I can push it!

Couple more runs on different pistes I noticed a lot of off piste and people riding the off piste. Now off piste usually isn't covered on insurance and if you hurt yourself your kinda in the shit! if you can't get yourself off the mountain it is very costly for the rescue team and other mountain services to come get you and get you to medics. off piste is off piste you see all the pro's riding the off piste in these secluded areas which we boarders dream of riding, but the off piste on these runs were right next to the piste I mean like the off piste joined up with a run maybe two football fields away so you could ride it and get back on track ! This is what I did for the majority of the day and I have got to say IT WAS AMAZING!!!! tit if your reading you would love it love it, Imagine that tree run in soll 10 times bigger with no trees!!! for this kind of riding I was on the wrong board as mentioned before the board I was on was for spins, trick etc... for off piste you really need a longer board so it glides over the soft powdery snow ! the only way to describe the feeling is imagine 10 thousand bean bags emptied over Barrow Hill (torrisholme) and u are on a soft plank and literally gliding over the surface and the feeling of not hardly touching the top! weird floaty feeling. KIK ASS! I cant say I didn't stack it a few times going arse over tit slamming into the snow but its all part and parcel of the learning (next time don't lean forward, weight on back foot steer with front!!) after this was kind of mastered and time was running out I just did this run over and over loved it so much !

After a long day on the mountain I trotted back to the Hotel had a shower and got ready for work. New shirt, new pants, new shoes looked the business, but felt a bit of a tool when Robbin turned up in a T-shirt! Work was at 4 and I was working with Robbin for the first time, He's a legend and really nice kind and clued up as to how things are run I am just gonna pick up from where he's left off and all will be cool. He showed me a few more things and we arranged the bar and stock to his wishes ! Because Robbins done seasons here before he has a lot of mates friends and people he knows a small selection of them came in last night and drank and had a crack, It was great to meet other seasonairs and get to know a few of them, they were telling stories of times on the mountain and how good it is and there drunken times and there were plenty. They invited me out on a few trips they were going to organise which is awesome as the one thing I was missing on my day on the mountain was Tit flying down and me chasing ! and all the other dudes in our group criss crossing down the piste and having a crack on the lifts! ;(

They all seemed really cool and a great bunch to get in with can't wait to get out on a ride with them which I think is tomorrow, Monday!!!!!!!!!! whhhooooohaaa!

First shift on my own tonight looking forward to it, hope its not another 1 O'clock finish tho! these seasonairs can drink !

Signing off now and going to get ready !

Love to all back in the UK

Thanks for reading
Ciao for now !
