We slowly got up this morning to make it to breakfast just before the 10 am cut-off for the hotel buffet. Then we re-packed for the last time and checked out of the hotel about noon. For the final time we had to stuff everything into the car-and we just had enough room to close the trunk.

Record heat again today but that's been a broken record for our trip. We only had a short amount of time in Little Rock today but we squeezed in a trip to a book store in downtown called the River Market Books and Gifts. This was a "gently' used book store operated by the City of Little Rock public library system. After we bought a few books I picked up some additional souvenirs from a downtown gift shop (to add to our packed car).

By this time it was lunch time so with some quick research flipping through a Little Rock magazine, I found a burger joint called the Big Orange way out in the west suburbs of Little Rock, but it was worth the 20 minute drive as the food was good and the community, called Chenal, was nice.

We left Little Rock about 4:30p and headed for our final stop of Daingerfield, TX: home to Laneshia's parents.
