After seven nights in paradise it was time for us to move on, we could have easily stayed another week or seven. We all left feeling a little bit sad – what a very special place! But we knew as we left we were on our way to another very place yet to be discovered by us - Karajini NP. We left Exmouth and started the long drive inland moving away from the coast and into the remote outback. The landscape morphed again – now it was dryer, with different shrubs and the earth – so, so red! Everything was dusted pinky red – even the cockatoos! To break up the 600 km’s inland we stopped for the night at Emu Creek Station. Another delightful location, and oh so remote. Emu Creek Station is working cattle station on 310,000 hectares, we arrived as the light plane flew in after a day of mustering. We camped by a beautiful river and woke up feeling refreshed and excited about the next leg of our journey. The kids hung out with the lovely host, Kylie and her kids in the morning and patted and fed their pet kangaroo Missy. Definitely Amons highlight of the day, and it was only 9am! We said our goodbyes and hit the road again.
