The time difference in WA has sent us slightly askew, however we seem to be making time! Today we were up and about to watch the sunrise, have breakfast, pack up camp and on the road by 7.45am. Our first diversion off the Nullarbor today was to Cuigina Blowhole. It was particularly unspectacular. And set the tone for the day. Long, long boring day of driving. We covered 800 k's! The most we have done in a day. huge, oversized road trains rumbling by us carrying massive mining equipment that we made up stories to explain what they could be used for, salt flats, a couple of emus, gorgeous Western Australian gum trees with shiny orange bark and lime green leaves, eerie bushfire scarred landscapes, into the steroetypically rugged aussie mining town of Norseman and beyond...Kids coped well – gadgets, dvds, audio books and endless window views kept them entertained - until the end of the day when we got to the roadside rest stop and were attacked by midgies then there were tears of frustration. We ate dinner inside our tent because of the flies and mozzies – our first taste of too many flies, midgies and mozzies – or their first taste of us!

Particularly unspectacular!! Like that line. Never heard of midgies before, but all said, it sounds like you're really feeling inbetween locations at the moment, which I guess you should expect from the Nullarbor. Thanks for the updates!
