Astrid and Amon spent the whole morning on the beach building creations (which we will upload photos of when we have better internet connection) and they climbed over large black volcanic rocks on the shoreline. Today we left the little beach camp and headed inland to Mount Eccles National park. It's beautiful. Large gum trees, volcanic craters, a lake and wild life galore. Astrid and Amon were so excited within a couple of hours of being here they had seen wallabies, kangaroos, a koala and possums. In fact the kids called dinner tonight "Attack of the possum!" The cheeky possums came right up to our plates and tried to eat our food – the kids thought this was hilarious! After a night walk to check out the Milky Way in a clearing we came back to find the possums in our rubbish bin! This really feels like how we imagined our adventure to be… No city lights, no noise… just silence and the gentle rustling of gum trees … oh and the occasionally squeal of possums.

Love Mt Eccles! ?Is Tom still the PArk Ranger there? Enjoy the free hot showers, and the endangered yellow belly gliders that scream out playfully at night near the main camping ground. Big love to all xo

Awwwww loving the story so far guys, got Ant's text today after work, it's been strange not to see or hear him and his kind smile and warm words in the first week back, people have been asking me how it's all going, after Shaz's facebook post about sick kidlets I wondered, glad you are feeling better Amon! So glad the real adventure is now begun and all the mad hassles have been worth it! Much love looking forward to the next installment! All my love Chey XXXXXXXX
