It isn't complete until you finally make it to the office for your first day (our group starts at 5:30 am, by the way...) For lunch we took some colleagues to the Olive Garden (absolutely NO relation to the Italian restaurant chain - this one is all Indian food). For dinner, we humbly went to Pizza Hut (which serves mostly Indian flavored and very spicy pizzas - but they have about a half dozen mild, vege pizzas.) Pizza Hut is a sit down restaurant where they wait on you and serve you on plates and give you silverware - nothing like the US. A personal sized deep - dish is Rs 150 ... compare that to the chocolates I discuss below. The place was jam packed and we were the only non-locals present. Quite the fascinating pair we are to others. We're used to the gawking and stares, it is rather funny as we are doing the same thing ... gawking and staring. We stopped at a grocery store and checked it out. Prices on fresh fruits, vegetables and chocolate are very high. I spent Rs 462 on two small chocolate bars and one giant one to give away to the Deloitte team. They love chocolate as much as I do. Sadly, the chocolates I have tried do not taste the same.
BTW - a private cab service picks us up from the Novotel and drops us at Deloitte - they do this round trip 24/7. It is awesome - a girl could get very used to a car/driver ...
