...but I'm not looking back!  I'm now at Caroline and Dan's apartment.  The movers arrived early yesterday morning to pick up my belongings.  The mover's were fast and efficient.  The moving company sent a team of five people and a large 18-wheel trailer to help with the move.  One of the movers got a kick out of my UC San Diego college diploma when he saw the name Arnold Schwarzenegger's name and signature under "Governor of California." I informed him that he's no longer the governor, and I was hoping to see him in the next Terminator movie now that he's out of a job. After several hours of packing by the mover, coupled with my last cleaning of the apartment, I jumped in my car and started my road trip to Baltimore.  I arrived early morning (1AM) after a nine hour drive from Savannah to Baltimore.  The drive was mostly uneventful, as there isn't much to see along the 95, until you reach Washington D.C.  If you are ever driving through the capital, driving the 395 at night gives a beautiful sight of the Pentagon, the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the Capitol Building all illuminated in a row.

It's nice to have a little bit of down time here in Baltimore with Caroline and Dan before I leave for Europe.  Caroline and I did yoga at her yoga studio, Utkatasana Yoga in Baltimore.  At night Dan made some really good guacamole and Caroline baked delicious peanut butter oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips. We still haven't made it to the Museum of Dentistry.  It's open tomorrow, and hopefully the tenth time is the charm!

I was excited to be closing a chapter on my life as I left the city.  I will always have fond memories of the city and time I've spent here, I'm glad that this signifies my journey back towards home and my family and friends.  I had a theme song for this moment as I leave Savannah. I heard this song hundreds of times before moving out to Georgia but never thought about it's meaning until now.  I can't help but think that John Mayer went through kind of the same thing I did while in Georgia!

Why Georgia (click link to play song)
By John Mayer

I am driving up 85 in the
kind of morning that lasts all afternoon
just stuck inside the gloom

Four more exits to my apartment but
I am tempted to keep the car in drive
and leave it all behind

Cause I wonder sometimes
about the outcome
of a still verdictless life

Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Why, why Georgia, why?

I rent a room and I fill the spaces with
wood in places to make it feel like home
but all I feel's alone
It might be a quarter life crisis
or just the stirring in my soul

Either way, I wonder sometimes
about the outcome
of a still verdictless life

Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Am I living it right?
Why, why Georgia, why?

So what, so I've got a smile on me
but it's hiding the quiet superstitions in my head
Don't believe me
Don't believe me
When I say I've got it down

Everybody is just a stranger but
that's the danger in going my own way
I guess it's the price I have to pay
still "Everything happens for a reason"
is no reason not to ask myself

If your're living it right
Are you living it right?
Are you living it right?
Why, tell me why
Why, why Georgia why?
