Today was our non-diving day (so that we don't decompress on the airplane).  We decided to take it easy but see some sights.  Austin and Steve Burdine did some snorkeling off of our deck early on and we did some souvenir shopping.  After lunch we headed for a drive up towards the northern end of the island and the Washington Slagbaai National Park.  Along the way we scoped out the shoreline and a few of the big northern dive sites like 1000 steps and Karpata.

We were disappointed that there weren't flamingoes at Saliņa Goto where we have seen them before.  We headed on into the national park, taking the short route through the park.  We again checked out some dive sites...I'm not sure how sites like Bise Morto can be listed as shore dives as there is a narrow precarious hike down over loose gravel to get to the site.  I vote taking a boat there someday instead!

The park was much greener than we've seen it before.  We had the usual lizards and wild goats along the way.  We eventually made it Boka Slagbaai where we found quite a few flamingoes at Saliņa Slagbaai. I thoroughly enjoy seeing such unusual birds in the wild!

We had a very nice dinner at a restaurant across the street from where we've been staying. It's called Roomer and we all enjoyed our food.  Now we've got to break down and pack as we leave early in the morning.
