We awoke this morning and did some research on the weather for today and tomorrow. We came to the realization that we were going to have to skip a few of the things we had planned due to the much cooler weather and strong winds. The coast was getting battered by 20 to 30 knot winds. Not ideal conditions for Aiden.

But the one thing we couldn't cancel was our trip to Spinreel to drive dune buggies.

The boys were in the dark about our stop here. It was going to be a surprise for them.

We took off and headed up the coast. Stopped for lunch and made it to Spinreel by noon. The boys were shocked and surprised.

We watched our safety and Mike and the boys buckled up and departed for fun in the sand. It was a bit windy, but clear and sunny. Mike would speed up and down the big dunes causing the little ones to squint their eyes and hang on tight, praying they wouldn't tip over.

There were some large dunes out there that Mike didn't have the nerve to attempt and the boys sure didn't mind.

Next was Christina's turn. She took the boys out and spent time riding over the small sand hills that caused a lot of jarring and bobbing of heads. She took them on a totally different part of the dune's then Mike.

Overall it was an extreme blast at a quality facility and good equipment. We definitely are going to have to plan a trip back there again this summer.

We were sad to leave but since we were postponing, until the next trip, most of our outdoor activities we decided to head on over to Portland for the night before continuing home.

Priceline came through again. Won a bid for $45 at the Courtyard By Marriott Portland Southeast which were normally run $90 a night. Cha-ching!

After checking in we headed down to the pool for a little while to unwind from all the driving. We wake up tomorrow to have breakfast at Bob's and head back home.
