Rain, Rain go away, come again another day!!!
Let me keep things updated while waiting for Ariel and Phil to come by to drop off their things before heading back to Cali this afternoon. I have to get used to this blogging thing - time is all I need! I thought I'd get some practice before my upcoming biggest blog, my trip to the Philiipines next month. How do you guys do it??? Blog while on vacation? Within time I'll get it.
The 7 of us met up with Kelly, my girl from San Francisco who moved out to New York a year ago. I'm excited to meet up with her since it's been a long time! I give it up to her to fulfill her goal to live in the Big Apple. She's doing well and I'm proud of her! We met up at Ippudo NY [65 4th Street & 10th Street] , a Japanese ramen noodle house for lunch. The place was quite hectic for lunch. Luckily we were situated in the corner, enough to enjoy the delicious food the the ramen king, Shigemi Kawahara. Supposedly Ippudo is a popular noodle chain in Japan. As usual for me, the food was quite yummy (as with anything's that edible!). But along with Kelly we both agree that the noodles are not as fresh, such as the Suzu Noodle House in Japantown, San Francisco.

We all separated our own ways. Gary had to accompany Ariel and Phil back to the apt to get their bags to head back to Cali. Too bad they couldn't extend their stay another day. In the meantime, me and Kelly walked around on a mission to find shoes. I discovered a pretty good affordable and great selection shoe store called, Shoe Gasm. Along the way we stopped of for some coffee to catch up things and hang out. After hours of walking we went back to Kelly's condo. Wow, I am impressed with Kelly's new home. She did a lot of work to renovate the place and it surely pays off because it looks nicely updated.
After a little rest we met up with the guys at a bar called, House of Brews. Larry's friend, Jeff, stopped by while Kelly and her friend Scott left for a Jazz bar. The four of us went to check out a bar that played 80's music, at Croton Reservoir Tavern [108 W. 40th Street]. The first floor was a bar and booths for people to hang out and basement is where it was happening. For a space that plays 80's music, the place was pretty packed with 80's music lovers. It was a cool spot but after a while the unventilated air became unbearable.

Soon it was time to head out to another spot so the boys can watch the main UFC fight. After the fight and a few drinks, me and Gary headed back to the apt while Larry and Jeff continued their night of bar hopping.
