We had another outing planned to visit some of my inlaws friends, and this was going to be another Scottish feast by the sounds of it. However before this event, we went to the beautiful Rosslyn Chapel, familiar to you all probably through the Da Vinci Code.

It is every bit amazing in the flesh, and perhaps even moreso. The architecture just blows your mind. How did they have the patience to create such masterpieces?? I of course had to take the stairs down to the crypt, and it seemed enchanting even if a bit musty. The whole chapel was just shrouded in history and the intricasies of the sculptures inside were just fascinating. I am disappointed only that we didn't have more time threre as you could spend hours, if not days, experiencing the stories told through the carvings.

Onto the Scottish feast and my inlaws friends were so welcoming and hospitable. We had a fantastic time chatting and Master X was also very well looked after. There is never any shortage of food at these Scottish events and it was a really beautiful afternoon. It was wet and cold so it was decided that tonight would be a pizza night. I have to admit that the Scottish take away pizza definitely trumps the Australian equivalent.

I forgot to add this morning (and I think it was this morning - looking back on it) that my bro, father inlaw and myself experienced a fish foot spa. Sound different? Well it was. It is where you put your feet into a tank of fish that nibble on your dead skin and replenish your feet. It was so ticklish at first but then you got used to it, and it was quite pleasant. Obviously our feet weren't too bad as no fish died during the ordeal.
