Berlin has been a wonderful trip decision. There is a great deal of things to do and see here. The amount of history in the city is overwhelming. I walked around the past few days and saw a lot already... I plan on a guided tour.. someone who knows their history to fill me in on all the details. I was able to visit the areas where the wall had been.. its amazing to think that this massive wall was still in place not that long ago (during my lifetime at least). Berlin really is the epicenter for world history (due to obvious reasons). ITs amazing to see how much they had to repair after the Allied bombings which pretty much leveled berlin.

The past couple days have been fun, although the weather has been a bit dodgie (Its been warmer than anywhere else i've been but it has been raining sparatocally). I met a dude from canada saturday night and we went on the pub crawl. That was a good time.. meeting lots of people over the course of the night.

The city is full of a variety of people. Apparently this was the birthplace of the gothic subculture (that are relatively plentaful in the u.s.). I think for the most part they are pretty harmless (although If i wern't white I may be telling another story). Not suprisingly, almost everyone here speaks english.. most speak english quite well.

I think maybe one more night in berlin should suffice, and then I plan on heading towards hambourg (maybe) but at least to copehnagen. With any luck I can find a cheap flight to helsiniki then bounce down to the baltic states.
