It's Saturday and I am exhausted. Woke up late, didn't get out of the hotel until late, so just walked up and down the main drag and a few sidestreets to do a little store browsing. While in Thailand and Laos, everyone I met who had come from Vietnam, was wearing a particular tee shirt they picked up while traveling through this country. I have to admit to liking the tee shirt, so picked one up today, which cost only about $4; let's see how long it will last me after a few washings. (In case you don't know, pho is a noodle soup that is eaten by just about everyone in Vietnam, seems to be served in every restaurant, and appears to be consumed at every meal...they serve it in the hotel restaurant for breakfast. The Apple logo is also everywhere here in Vietnam, as well as in Laos and northern Thailand, everyone has appropriated it for their own logo. So, when you put the "i" with the "pho," it comes out as a play on words as 'iPhone." The images represent the bowl, chop sticks, beef and noodles. Sadly, you just know the person who designed it isn't getting any royalties, as they are sold right on the streets.
