DAY 10

Well after a late night arrival I was finally up from sleep to the sound of ocean waves and the sun beating down on my brow. In a word I was in paradise. I went to the beach hut hang out located directly next to my hut and ordered an ice cold Tuborg beer. Have to say it went down a treat! And as I looked around surveying the beauty that was around me, I'd finally found that sense of peace I'd struggled to find so far whilst here in India. The southern mentality in comparison to up north is completely different. It's a much more relaxed and trustworthy approach to things here. I felt comfortable leaving my sweaty running gear out to try outside my hut and when I'd come back from being away it was there,no problems. The staff here are so cool and welcoming and the villagers in general. Hello means hello and not always meaning; can you purchase something from me. I hit the beach and went fro a run, releasing a sweat that had been dying to leave my body. I was finally here.

During the course of the day I met numerous people and had many conversations. I wasn't in a party mood although I had an offer. Just sitting around and literally doing jack s_ _ t was my mission! And so far the mission was going as planned. I walked the stretch of the beach to get a feel of the environment and the vibe in general. In the end I ended up at the open hut bar communal hangout and just looked out at the sea and spoke to those who wanted chit chat. I love it here. Could do it forever. Agonda is popular for it's beauty and the fact that it has become a mad tourist haven. I'm sure that's soon to change! But for now it appears unspoilt and I can walk away saying that I was there long before the madness and tourist mayhem. It's going to be one hell of a week. I say bring it on. Mosquito net down, lights out and bed

TIP: Leave your hut porch light on when out for the evening, as getting back home late when it's lights out may be a bit of a problem lol
