I was surprised to discover that "April Fool's" is celebrated here. Shibu served my breakfast this morning with a big smile and the announcement that we were expecting a tsunami!
Earlier this week I had the sutures removed from the surgery to drain the seroma that was done ten days ago. All is well and I am able, once again, to do my "hydrotherapy" in the ocean. By the way I had the dressings and suture removal done at the local medical clinic in Pallipuram. The cost for each visit which include both a doctor and a nurse in attendance for almost a half an hour Rs 100 (i.e. $2.22)!
Well this is it - less than two weeks to go! I'm not as fit as I'd like to be but hope to survive the 30 hours of travel from Pallipuram to Almonte. Looking forward to the cooler weather and maple syrup!

No foolin'! I love knowing that the British custom which would have had more social prominence in Britain during the colonial period in India, has lingered on there. Watch out for the classic news of the spaghetti harvest in Italy.
Hello David:
I'm glad things are working out so well for you now (and I'm not fooling). I'm lookng forward to seeing you again.
Cheers,
Joe
Hey David,
Stop "foolin'" around and get yerself back home safe and sound. We're looking forward to hearing more about the adventure,
for the whole Red Maple sangha,
Ray
I know you're about to head home and I want to wish you a safe, comfortable, journey back. All those hours seated on a plane -- ouch. It'll be worth it though. Just remember that friends, family, and maple syrup await!
