Where I stayed
Another private hostel
We walk on and catch up with the Korean father and his 9 year old son. I cannot pronounce either of their names so call them little tiger and little tigers dad. Little tiger loves Clementine, as he has an I-pad and plays Korean children's songs he has downloaded. Clementine has learnt the words and sings along, little tiger holds his hand as they sing. It reminds me of my wonderful son and makes me miss him very much.
We reach a village ten km down the road and Yeve has to stop. He has hurt his foot again and will not go on. There is much hugging and kissing but there is no tears. We all now know the beauty of the Camino is meeting new friends, they may not stay for long on the way but they have touched your heart and you carry them with you.
Christian has left his project management job in Austria and does not know what he does next. Sylvia tells me about Christians kindness to a German girl that he has looked after, she says he is the most Christian atheist she has ever met. I ask him about the German girl, as I suspected he fancied her, but quickly realise he truly tried to help her. Sylvia is between jobs and is looking for a new direction, she gets tired at the end of the day so puts on her ear phones and sings along at the top of her voice. My right foot is now killing me, but I am serenaded by another wonderful Italian lady and break my heart once again.....
We arrive at another wonderful hostel and share a communal dinner. There is no Internet but I am tired so go off to bed after dinner. We all used to worry about snoring and ear plugs, now we just sleep...
