Well the Indian Ocean is pissed; we have had 25-foot swells, so basically its like we are on an amusement ride all day long. It makes doing things like showers and eating a lot more interesting. We just left Mauritius and it wasn't anything that special, to be honest there wasn't much culture there, Mauritius is basically the Hawaii to Africa and Europe, it was gorgeous but there wasn't much to do. It was pretty much a spring brake for us. I ended up renting a house on one of the beaches for the 2 days with a couple of people and it only cost us 40 bucks each and it was a super nice house with a pool. We all just had parties for 2 days and laid around on the beach. Plus the water was clear as drinking water so the snorkeling was amazing. I did get pretty dark; I think I am tanner than I have ever been in my life. I am just getting super excited for the 2nd leg of our trip cause the rest of the way is places that will honestly be like a different planet. India is up next and I have no idea what to expect, all anyone that has been there before has said is be prepared for a different world there is not one westernized thing there and it will be 90 degrees and 90 percent humidity. So it should get pretty interesting.

winter blues
Hey Doug,
It sounds like the kind of schooling I'd like! Hot sun, beach houses, cold beverages! We're glad your having a good time. Dan and I are leaving for Italy on Monday for 10 days. Can't wait. As we look out our window right now, the snow is falling rapidly..winter storm has arrived. It figures your mon and dad left for Wyoming to sled and the snow would finally arrive here in beautiful northeast. I'm sure they are having a great time with Dr. Phil and Eileen. The dining menu in the west can be interesting too, elk, buffalo etc.
You stay safe and enjoy!!

Philadelphia
Hey Dougy!
I just wanted to let you know on this fine Monday, March 13th that it is 75 degrees in Philadelphia. So maybe it's 90 where you are but we aren't far behind. I hope you are enjoying semester at sea. Only about a month left. Make the best of it. Can't wait to party with you when you get home.
