So here we are, enjoying our last few hours in India before flying to china (via singapore!)

Agra

We awoke early to catch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal; an impressive sight.  We forked out for a guide to take us round and it proved to be a breathtaking sight and very interesting.  It's hard to describe and no photo could do it justice.  The whole building is completely symmetrical, and the extensive gardens were a world away from the dusty, dirty India we are used to.  We enjoyed spending the morning looking around, and had previously bought some outlandish Indian clothes to make sure we got some great photos.

Shorty after, we returned to the hotel for breakfast and to check-out before heading to Delhi to catch our flight today.  What ensued at check-out was a heated argument as Tim led the charge in insisting that we weren't going to pay A/C prices as they had turned off our A/C at night.  This has been typical of a lot of places here as the lights work but strangely the A/C doesn't at various points during the day - the usual excuse is that the power is faulty but on many occasions when we have complained the A/C 'magically' turns back on.  This argument was a combination of our frustrations here as everyone tries to rip us off and we eventually got away with a small discount!

Delhi

Being back in Delhi was surreal, particularly as we headed straight for Connaught Place which was extrememly 'westernised'. We felt like we could've been back home bar all the Indian faces.  After a lunch today at McDonalds (we felt we have betrayed India!), we had a wonder around and realised that we'll miss this place (Stef will miss Indian women - "they're gorgeous")

We feel that we have learnt alot here in India and it really has set us up well for the rest of the trip.  It's been a hard place to be a tourist but a real adventure and full of great memories.

What we'll miss
-
Great food
- Stef will miss the babes
- Mohan
- Bartering (some of the time!)
- Indian bananas
 - Culture
- Countryside
- Seeing monkeys/camals/elephants everyday

What we won't miss
-
Delhi Belly
- Harassment from beggars / touts
- Being ripped off!
- Looking so western!
- 46 degree heat THE WHOLE TIME

So, it's the end of one chapter and the beginning of the next as we head to the airport and venture into the heat one last time.  China is going to be such a different experience and we look forward to keeping you updated!

The Taj Mahal at sunrise must have been very special - a great place to choose for your last trip in India. Glad to see some colour back in the faces of the "sleeping beauties". Looking forward to reading chapter 2. Lots of love and xs, U. (there, Nick, nothing to count this time, you must be married to a maths teacher or something.... :) )
