Woke up for sunrise and was utterly blessed with clear skies. Took plenty of shots and then just relaxed the early morning away reading. Dipak and I took another village walk around 11. This time we explored the older part of Ghandruk where some of the lower castes live.

Lunch was the same ole same ole - Dhal Bhat. This is the last time I'll be eating this if I have my way. In the afternoon I relaxed and read until it was time for school to let out. I purchased more biscuits for the children and thoroughly enjoyed passing them out as I came upon children in their school uniforms walking home.

Dipak and I returned to the monastery at 6:00 and I took some pictures with my digital - the 2 children who live there were fascinated to see the pics I had taken with the camera. Full of giggles and smiles and a wee bit of mischief as they banged on the Buddhist drum. No sign of their parents on either occasion. Just the monastery and the 2 little girls. Dipak and I had a couple of Everest beers after dinner in honour of our last night together in the mountains. He's been an excellent guide - thoughtful, patient and attentive throughout and I plan on recommending him on the Internet. Went to bed at about 9.
