I went in Later with the girls as Mick did the early 1 hour , to taxy the aircraft with lead Capt Simon.
I had trauma at security due to my Leatherman left in my carry on. My own fault forgot to remove it oops! The zealous security bod enjoyed dropping it into the Big box full of other engineers and pax tools etc.
Mr Thomson will help to provide a upgraded one!
Listening to a Nat Geo guy Ford Cochrane telling us all about Nat Geo from the early days , very interesting! Jack Dalton give us talk about Easter Island history and culture, I took notes.
We arrived into Easter Island after a fly by by Capt Mike allowing both sides of the cabin to see the main points of the Island.
We had some work to do on landing fixed the loss of audio at 14ab, reset SEB and then found we had a toilet sink draining problem . This was trace to a blocked bunged up drain mast .we kept pouring down the water and once we freed it off the flow was amazing , a right flow!! Will need to monitor it.
At the Iorana hotel we settled in , not luxury but ok. Drinks were had on the terrace, long day so sloped off to bed! Others up till 0300!
