Where I stayed
Gloria and Edwards
Saturday a car rally started from the Square in Villa General Belgrano and what an amazing selection of cars from the old vinatage to some more modern. My choice was the vintage and they were in impecable order. One beautiful red car you could only hear the slight purr of an engine. Loved the yellow sports car I suppose you would call it and the two men really looked like 'men in the flying maching'.
Seeing these old cars reminded me of when I was a child, Grandma and Grandad had an old car on the front lawn that didn't go and we used it to play in. I believe years later it was taken away and done up as a vintage car.
Gloria has an old Pugeot that I said we should have had in the rally.
There are no traffic lights in the main street of Villa General Belgrano, but to keep the traffic flowing they have traffic directors, for want of a better word. I love watching these people and each director
has their own style and a whistle being part of the action. I could do that job - I have the whistle and wouldn't be too hard to learn some signals. At least I wouldn't have to know much Spanish!!!
Edward came home with a tractor yesterday, his new toy, for mowing the lawn. Of course we all had a good time trying it out.
