I rode a cow; enough said.
Easiest work ever- the foal petting I've enjoyed so much will help more easily wean them from the mares. It's amazing how Div uses the young colts' moms to help train them. If they try and evade my touch, she'll push them towards me and her calm demeanor shows them there's nothing to be afraid of.
Beautiful send off from Div and Eunice with delicious farm raised beef mince and kumara mash (she sneaks a little homemade relish in with the potatoes- yum!) Lindauer brut rose and Alt___? Voyage SB from Marlbourough compliment another one of Eunice's delicious desserts- "Eaton Mess"- so good: biscuit crumbles, berries, chocolate pudding and merengue.
They give ME gifts... crazy. But I'm so grateful for the hat, gloves and merino jersey- I'll need these tomorrow!
See you all next week on my way up north. You're amazing hosts- thank you!!

Jeannie and Joey on

You rode a cow. Jeannie truly knows what that means to you, and the photo stopped Joey's crying over fruit bars instantly.
