Lagos is a beautiful town on the southern end of Portugal, about a 4 hour bus ride from Lisbon. We were there in the winter, which is off season. I read in some brochure that the off season population is about 20,000, whereas in the middle of summer, the population swells to 200,000! I can't imagine it being that crowded. It's nice to go in the winter, it's quiet and calm and beautiful. The beaches are incredible, with these gorgeous rock formations carved by the ocean...
Food was great - all the restaurants in town were superb.
