Day 1 of the 2005 Shasta Invitational Houseboat trip kicked off with a 3 prong directional attack. Dave Roumonada drove from Montana to Seattle, picking up his son Tony and driving down I-5 to meet us in Redding. Tony Pennella flew in from Kennewick, WA to Sacramento where Ron Louis picked him up from his retirement home in Placerville, CA. I flew in from Chicago and met brother John and Ron's son Brian in Vacaville. We all hooked up at the Liquor Barn in Redding where we ran up a $6 billion bill....no crap...the register actually showed $6,589,346.17 !!!. Them imported beers are expensive.
Launching out of SilverThorn Resorts, we headed onto the lake and were unprepared for the fantastic fishing ahead of us.
