The first full day of the trip had us off to Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo. We got there early and with the overcast skies, the animals were very active. Highlights were the Grizzly Bears and Wolfs. After a good 5 hours at the zoo we headed back to the motel for a quick nap. We decided to walk to the ball park since it was only 1.5 miles and all downhill The concern was the trip back, but we were going to cross that bridge after the game. The game.....well it was a game of highlights. First of all the Mariners won (that's a shocker), but the best part for Derek was the 2nd inning ....."bring out the mustard, bring out the relish, it's GRAND SALAMI time" grand slam by Raul Ibanez. Derek LOVED that. The evening ended with Florence feeling like she was the smartest person in all of Seattle, when she noticed the buses outside the stadium with "downtown" on them....so for $1 each, we rode the bus to within 1 block of our motel. How about that bridge crossing. Big day tomorrow at the water park.....we'll chat again soon.
