6:30 start on the bus towards Quebec.
More than 90% of the population only speak French. The city was once defended by a Citadel which is still an active military base. We took a tour of the Citadel which had wonderful views of the surrounding St Laurence River and harbour area.
Following the tour we had an early lunch at an authentic French restaurant then headed towards the US border.
After a brief stop for duty free shopping we had to go through border security checks before our 4 hours drive to Boston.
The countryside of New Hampshire & Massachusetts is very pretty as the trees are all changing colour & getting ready for the fall. It was difficult to take any decent photos from the bus. We arrived in Boston Chinatown for dinner before going to our hotel quite late. I spoke to another lady on the tour who originally got on in New York and she said we just about go to every Chinatown there is – awesome!!
