HOLA!
We made it safely to Quetzaltenango, or better known as Xela at about 5pm today. It took a 5 hour bus ride to get here. This morning we got up really early so we could go take the Gandala ride. As it turns out, the ride was really short and probably not worth our time, but it's all good. We had to rush to the bus station afterwards. Gustavo is a crazy driver! We literally almost got in 3 recks on the way, the driving is SUPER aggresive here! Luckily we made it safe to the bus station. Once on the bus, Jenna and I pretty much slept the whole way. After arriveing in Xela we took a taxi to our school, and about another 45 minutes later our family came to pick us up. We are staying literally around the corner from the school , which will be very convenient. We both have our own rooms with big beds. The famly speaks no english, which may be hard at first but also very good for our studies. We start school at 8am monday morning, and we are being taught one on one with a teacher, who will also speak no english. There is no way that we won't be speaking good spanish by the time we leave here!

Greetings from Oregon!
Hi Briana!

Sounds like a lot of interesting adventures so far. How is your Spanish coming along? I am interested in how long it takes to get used to it.

Thanks for the updates too!

Love,
Uncle Dave
