After a farewell breakfast with Mum and John and the usual shenanigans associated with trying to shoehorn all the gear in the back of the Frank we set of for SFO – the third time on the trip that I have found myself at that airport but it was way back in October that I was last there: fascinating eh?

I has the usual comedy moments on the freeway when I missed the junction and the nearly missed it again coming from the other direction and has to swerve wildly across the carriageway to avoid James and Nathan spending several hours just going up and down US101. Needless to say this led to a tirade of invective at the sat-nav and street signage – when of course I was the only person said invective should have been directed at. I think I will give up swearing and cursing – problem is that will mean I will never speak again!

Once in the terminal check in was straight forward and me and the brothers topped up breakfast with burgers, hot dogs and the best milk shakes we have had in years – made from real ice cream and fresh milk – awesome. And that was that – brothers disappeared through security and I headed back to the car to work out how to get to Carson City.
